Liberalism is The Left-Wing of Fascism
Liberalism and Fascism are intrinsically tied, as one enables the other to exist and function while the other uses their worse qualities to instill anger in the population to obtain power.

Liberalism is the left-wing of fascism.
This simple statement has been seen in my comments, videos, and discussions for a while now. It has, more than many of my statements, got me significant push back by members of the “Left” for a while. However what I’m noticing is that push back is becoming less and less as time goes on - because its becoming clear my argument is starting to make sense in people’s minds as they witness where the liberals of the West (especially America) are going.
For Context:
When we discuss liberalism, we must understand that we are dealing with the liberalism of today’s era, which has been described as neo-liberalism; because of it’s new characteristics in policy with elements of old original liberalism. This piece will specifically say liberalism in regards to the modern version, as the old liberalism that had semi-revolutionary and progressive characteristics for a different time no longer exists and is ideologically useless in regards to general policy during this new age of globalization and Western hegemony. Neo-liberalism is no longer new, as it is the new global relation of liberalism, with any remaining elements of old liberalism either breaking off and further radicalizing to Socialism, or tailing behind and accepting the new rule of neo-liberalism.
In short, there is no original liberalism or neo-liberalism, there is just liberalism of the modern era; a merge of old and new forms of liberalism into the same essence - and it is functionally as dangerous as fascism.
Liberalism: Enabling Fascism & Blocking the Left
Understanding how liberalism acts as an enabler of fascism while blocking the left from moving forward is something that it seems only the Socialists can see. Many who are not as politically studied as they believe they are, can’t seem to see that; additionally fascists don’t seem to see that as well but do commend liberals for their ease on their existence. This is because many assign a political ideology specifically to social & cultural politics and not theoretical philosophy, geopolitics & economic politics. Political ideologies often are philosophical, geopolitical, and economic; political ideologies are not entirely or specific to certain social and cultural politics, if this was the case then there would be no such thing as Homo-Nationalism, Black Ethno-Nationalism, or Zionism. However they do exist.
To not understand liberalism is the left-wing of fascism, to not understand it is its primary aid and enabler, means you aren’t analyzing the situation right.
-Liberalism acts as an enabler & sympathizer of fascism in a few ways:
“Freedom” vs Safety: Liberalism outright opposes the logical understanding of the “Paradox of Tolerance” and believes in the individual rights of fascists to organize, speak openly, and spread influence despite the horrors we seen from this in WWII and after. Making way for hate groups to prey on the anger of the masses as a means to gain popularity because the liberals believes, very foolishly, that humans are naturally good and will always move towards acceptance and progressive values. When such a notion has been proven completely subjective and that humans will act in accordance to fear, privilege, bias and survival than “correct positions.” As is seen by the Lucifer Effect, The Stanford Prison Experiment, the Milgram Experiment, . The reality is, human beings aren’t just adaptable, they are hackable, and are often mentally hacked depending on the circumstances they get put in. This is why psychological warfare is the most brutal and powerful form of warfare. It’s why no empire or movement can survive or grow without propaganda and agitating narratives.
Capitalist Loyalty: Liberalism, specifically liberal politicians and establishments, does not see fascism as a threat because fascism does not ideologically oppose capitalism in its form, it adopts it as an economic system when in power, because fascism only can come to power by the wealthiest of a society who seeks to push their domination upon them. Fascism’s class characteristic is financial capital; it is often the big bankers & big capitalists who spearhead fascist revolts using the anger of middle class fascist groups to destabilize and weaken power for them to take it. This is the understanding of what is the “pinstripe fascist” vs the “fascist thug” and this understanding of fascism’s class characteristic comes from Georgi Dimitrov, a Bulgarian Communist intellectual & Politician in the 1930’s & 40’s who, during his exile to Germany, fought with the Nazi’s directly. Liberalism opposes Socialism in any form because liberalism as an ideological relation among political groups is completely beholden to capitalism as capitalists fund liberal groups to use their beliefs in strengthening the system (for a short term). Liberalism since its founding has always acted in favor of capitalist’s continuing their existence. This act as a servant and protector of capitalists against the anger and self-determination of the lower classes.
Liberalism & Fascism - Class Collaborationism: Liberalism is the “politically neutral voice” in the room that makes the argument of class collaborationism. Class collaborationism is a principle of social organization that posits the division of society into a hierarchy of social classes as a positive and essential aspect of civilization. It is a central ideological pillar of fascism, which advocates for the preservation of social hierarchy and the collaboration of all classes in its defense, including the acceptance of their respective roles by both lower and higher classes. It’s why liberals make the argument for unions, specifically petite bourgeois unions, whose power is limited to negotiations and concessions rather than militant strikes and securing demands - while historically allowing the capitalist class to suppress and destroy unions, or backing the corporations against them, like we saw recently with Biden against railroad workers. Communists and Marxists generally oppose class collaborationism, arguing that it is impossible for the interests of different social classes to align because their material interests are inherently contradictory. We believe that the state, which is seen as a tool used by the bourgeois class, will inevitably favor employers over employees in class disputes. In fact, we know this is true because if the capitalists felt like their profits was threatened, they’ll either withdraw from the country as a whole, or launch a Capital Strike - which is basically the practice of businesses withholding any form of new investment in an economy, in order to attain some form of favorable policy. So long as the capitalists have any form or economic or political power over a country, they’ll use it against the masses - this is why class collaborationism fails, because of the existence of the monopoly of violence & dictatorship of capital.
Geopolitical Gain: Liberal administrations in the West and elsewhere, but we’ll focus on the US specifically, empower and aid fascist causes in different parts of the world for strategic geopolitical gain and wealth. The most recent examples of this is Ukraine, which has been under the direct influence of fascists since the 2014 coup that was aided by the Obama administration, and the continued aid to the violent Zionist ethno-state known as “Israel,” which has been increasing the genocide of Palestine and its own version of “Lebensraum” known as the Greater Israel Project. Both Democrat & Republican administrations are guilty of leading far-right coups across the world since the 50’s - other far-right coups during Democrat administrations in the US that the US led or played a part in are:
Iran (1953): The US & CIA, under Truman (Democrat) began planning a coup against Mossadegh after he began nationalizing the Iranian oil industry. The coup was executed and successful under Eisenhower (Republican).
Guatemala (1954): The groundwork of opposition to Arbenz was led by the Truman administration (Democrat), the coup was finished by Eisenhower (Republican).
Dominican Republic (1965): The US under the administration of Lyndon Johnson (Democrat) intervened militarily to prevent the return of left-wing leader Juan Bosch, instead backing a more far-right government.
Indonesia (1965-66): Under the Johnson administration (Democrat) the US backed General Suharto’s overthrow of President Sukarno, leading to the mass executions of suspected communists.
Chile (1973): The US started hostility to Salvador Allende under John F. Kenndy (Democrat), and finished the coup under Nixon (Republican), installing the infamous fascist Pinochet.
Honduras (2009): Under the Obama administration, the US supported the ousting of President Zelaya who was moving towards left-wing policies.
Libya (2011): The Obama administration, after de-nuclearizing Libya, led a NATO backed attack on Libya that would see the fall of Gaddafi and turn Libya into a lawless land where war lords and slave auctions would become common place. This specific method of overthrowing Libya would later be referred to as “The Libya Model” and referenced in discussions by politicians to target other countries.
Ukraine (2014): During the rise of rebellions in Ukraine on geopolitical matters of aligning with the EU or Russia - White Nationalist organizations took charge in the revolts with the help of the CIA and US administration of Obama. Documents by the CIA show a long standing trend of collaborating with Nazi organizations in Ukraine since the late 50’s, as is what was made public by the documentary “Ukraine on Fire.” The most influential (and oldest) organizations that influence(d) Ukrainian daily life are the Right Sector, Svoboda, Social National Assembly (largely defunct after the creation of Azov), and Azov Battalion [2]. It is because of this why fascist symbolism, Nazi militias, statues of Nazi collaborators, and even training of foreign extremists like Atomwaffen & Brenton Tarrant (who would later have his manifesto mass produced in Ukraine) have come to be common place.
It’s important to note the US has overthrown over 100+ countries, most after WWII, to list all of them would be difficult. [Click here for some information on the topic]
Liberal Identity Politics vs Fascist Identity Politics: Marxists are known for our opposition to identity politics as a whole, as it focuses racial, sexual, or other differences above class. Not to say specific oppressions like racism, sexism, homophobia and so on aren’t real, it’s that they’re methods of division by the ruling class as a means to destroy worker unity. Liberal identity politics focuses on these differences as a replacement of class relations, to waterdown oppression to purely just racial, sexual, or other means of difference - usually with the objective to promote inclusivity, representation, etc. within the current status quo. However Marxists understand that such inclusivity and representation is impossible under the current system because all it does is diversify the oppressor class and their state apparatus, whose primary interests are class related. Fascist identity politics is a direct reaction to liberal identity politics, to divert attention away from liberal identity politics or class relations and focus anger or fear on the white race and white racial relations. That is of course if we are speaking about fascism in the European (or Euro-offshoot) variant. Liberal & fascist identity politics is recognized by both as politically significant - viewing race, culture, or other identity types as shapers of political behavior. These ideologies focus on “in-group loyalty”; fascists focusing on white loyalty through fear and urgency to “protect themselves”, and liberals rallying minority groups with a sense of urgency to back their political advances or institutions as a means to protect them (which never actually happens, just possible reforms that get removed later on, and fear-based talking points).
Liberalism Built The State Fascists Use:
Fascism is the merger of corporate and state power. The class characteristics of fascism is finance capital and big capitalists meshed with the state directly. It’s the enforcement of terrorist policy from the state level against the domestic and foreign workers by the hand of the wealthiest class.
America has always been crypto-fascist, just in varying forms and degrees, because capitalists who finance and support fascism tolerate liberal democracies until they no longer serve their interests, then they change the system on their terms based on who they can exploit to manufacture it into reality. This is why the banking capitalists of 1933 failed to install a fascist dictatorship in the US and overthrow FDR. It’s why the German industrialists was in the government of Hitler’s regime.
Besides from corporate backing of fascist revolts and governments, liberalism has strengthened the state before and in some cases during the fascist regimes. One example being Mussolini appointing a classical liberal economist, Alberto De Stefani, who advanced economic liberalism, along with minor privatization during the coalition period. The coalition period (started in 1922) being a right-wing coalition that included Fascists, nationalists, liberals, and two Catholic clerics from the People's Party. The Fascists were a small minority in these early governments.
Moving to Germany, the state that the Nazis would seize in 1933, while weak in its state, the state apparatus would later be used by the Nazis and built upon to target the enemies of the Third Reich. Ironically, the liberals of old Germany are acting exactly like the liberals of modern US as the Trump administration continues to assault the checks and balances and targets “enemies of the state.” With things like protest votes, rallies and speeches, etc. It’s clear liberals have no interest in solving fascism in the way its always been solved.
The US has always been fascistic in one manner or another, with a clear acceleration of government to full-scale fascism since 2001 by both parties. Arguable there was time before that where fascist-like policies was temporarily created and enforced to target Communists, unions, minorities, etc. but it always returned back to “liberal democracy” - This is because liberal democracy is the “neutral balance” the capitalists allow until it no longer serves them; fascism is the extreme option that’s pushed during crisis and power being lost by the capitalist class. Fascism is the end goal of capitalism when it inevitably stops being useful. There is a reason why Hitler took inspiration from US immigration laws, Jim Crow laws, laws against mixed marriages or sexual relations, and treatment of Natives for how he’d target and genocide Jews, minorities, LGBT+, etc.
The current Trump administration and its current power grab, targeting opposition, and dissolving of programs and old liberal democratic measures, would never have been possible if the state wasn’t created to do these things before Trump even took office.
The US has been targeting immigrants for decades, with deportations steadily increasing since the end of the Clinton administration. With deportations going from over 200k at the end of the Bush administration, to over 400k each year under Obama, staying around 350k per year under Trump, and shooting up to over a million each year under Biden.
Bush is who created the Patriot Act which would later target civilians in a very fascistic manner as an excuse to “the war on terror.” Expanding spying capabilities, expanding the list of what qualified as “terrorism,” detain immigrants indefinitely without trial, and more.
Citizens United (2010) during the Obama administration allowed the open bribery of corporations to political parties and politicians. Allowing the first steps of the corporate-state merger that is necessary for fascism.
Obama strengthened the US military drone program and NSA which would later be used to expand US imperialism and illegally spy on Americans and people outside the US.
The yearly multi-billion dollar to almost 1 trillion dollar military budget that every administration has contributed to that built up our military into a global imperial force.
All of these structural elements that America under its liberal democracy has created and used to target domestic and foreign people & countries for geopolitical or resource focused objectives, and now is in the hands of a new administration that’s pushing the country closer to full-scale fascism. This is why I’ve said, and keep getting proven right, that every election, one of the two parties is still accelerating the country to fascism because fascism is spearheaded by the capitalist class.
How Liberalism is Similar to Fascism:
There is a few ways where liberalism acts on par with historical fascism. These, mostly, are in relation to capitalism, anti-communism, and imperialism.
Liberal democracies and fascist regimes in history share strong similarities in their targeting and subverting of Communist, Socialist, anti-war movements. Specifically for US liberals, besides from the information mentioned earlier in this piece, another example of liberal collaboration in anti-socialist efforts is COINTELPRO. The program of subversion that targeted the Black Panthers, Communist Party USA, Socialist Party USA, and many others. As Communists, we don’t believe it ever ended, but if we was to believe the establishment’s narrative that it only operated from 1956 to 1971, that would mean it was a program during the Eisenhower administration (Republican), Kenndy administration (Democrat), Johnson administration (Democrat), and Nixon administration (Republican). Further solidifying the fact that Republicans and Democrats are equal participants in anti-Socialist, anti-Communist efforts. Another example is the era of McCarthyism, a fear campaign that targeted suspected Communists and imprisoned or killed them. This campaign, led by Senator McCarthy, took the country by storm. Anyone who was accused of being a Socialist or Communist could face unemployment, prison time, detainment without trial, or get lynched by anti-Socialist gangs. This campaign was also coupled with the trials of the House of Un-American Activities Committee (HUAC) where suspected Socialists would be interrogated and potentially imprisoned if they answered wrong. McCarthyism took place between the late 1940’s through the 1950’s, which means it took place under the administrations of Harry Truman (Democrat) and Eisenhower (Republican).
Both liberals and fascists often are imperialistic and have an interest in exporting resources from other nations for their own wealth. They both are protectors of capitalists and their primary allies, and are used as servants of capitalists to target nations to profit off the theft from these nations. Much of this was addressed earlier in the piece.
This isn’t to mention the behavior of liberals which is similar to fascists when faced with political rivalry. Liberals try their best to act as the diplomats in the room, but as we saw from how we treat nations that demand sovereignty, to quote Hillary Clinton when asked about Gaddafi ‘we came, we saw, he died,” it is clear we have no interest in diplomacy without servitude. Nor does the average liberal act in any normal matter when dealing with rivals within the US. Ask any American Socialist/Communist today, ask any pro-Palestinian - liberals are known for infiltrating our events, blocking our flyers or shows from being seen by others, they have called the cops on members of the Left, they have doxxed members of the Left & pro-Palestinians. This is a mentality similar to fascists who quell opposition to their state via intimidation or participation. They want no exposing of the brutal behavior of their state so long as their people are in charge, and doing so during or after the election is tantamount to treason in their eyes.
Liberals are ego-maniacs who act like entitled, smug, authority figures that all should just accept and listen to.
The Wise Words of James Forman:
“In his essay, ‘Combat Liberalism',’ Mao Tse-Tung has clearly defined many forms that liberalism takes and the destructive nature of this tendency. The study and constant discussion of its content is mandatory to fully understand this paper. In my personal experiences and observing and interaction with many others I have found the contents of this essay illuminating. Many people after reading it have had a scientific basis for criticism and self criticism. Inside the United States with its stress on compromises, individualism and low level political discussions, many of us are affected by liberalism. In essence liberalism is the refusal to engage in principled ideological struggle inside and outside of a revolutionary organization and if we are truly revolutionary we will struggle to eliminate all forms of liberalism from our social practice.”
-Twenty Enemies, James Forman
Forman makes clear that the many forms of liberalism, in and outside the Left, among the Left and among the loyal liberal sect, must be eradicated for revolutionary struggle to begin with capitalism. There is no surprise why the liberals continue to get close to the Left and steal the attention to us, like AOC & Bernie have, because of course they do, they are the ideological roadblock keeping the masses from being influenced by us. Liberalism within the Left, that refuses to struggle in and outside our organizations, is the enemy within our trenches - while the loyal liberal, who actively shields the masses from listening to us to divert them back to status quo, is the enemy who plays the part of the neutral figure to our face while shooting us in the back.
-So after all this, what is the summarization of liberalism’s role to fascism?
Liberalism is the left-wing of fascism - specifically, it is the enabler, sympathizer, protector and active participant to the conditions for fascism. The active participant in accelerating the ambitions of the wealthy to fascism. While, simultaneously, being the attacker, intellectual roadblock, and whitewasher of the Socialist cause and its people. As Marx, Lenin, Stalin, Mao and many others understood it: For Socialism to succeed, it means liberalism must be eradicated - attacked at all angles, and forced under the boots of Socialist propagandists, organizers, and the Socialist martyrs.
Either side by the Socialist cause, or be ran over by it!
