The American Move Towards Fascism | 1933 to Now

From the 1933 “Wall Street putsch” to today, how the US alongside the new global economy, particularly the west, is quickly moving towards Fascism.

In the 1930's there was a coup attempt in the US against the newly elected president, FDR. This coup involved capitalists like JP Morgan and other financial institutions. The opposition of FDR included many capitalists, politicians and religious figures like Huey Long and Priest Charles Coughlin. The 1933 “Wall Street putsch” has largely been forgotten in modern times, largely due to corporate mainstream propaganda, however it is important to note given new events that are, unsurprisingly, also going without notice or at the very least observation and analysis. I am not surprised given the rise of technology in a new culture created specifically to encourage self gratification and quick dopamine during an age of staggering wages, poverty, broken futures and the like. The culture added with the sharpening material conditions has turned the generations into zombies focused on escape in a civilization whose government has mastered emotionally and psychologically manipulative propaganda; making any intellectuals, rebels or revolutionaries of the new age, no matter how well plugged into the historic and current events, lacking in numbers. It’s almost as if that is by design? As you read on, you will see it very much is.

Disclaimer to readers, this is a fairly long piece holding a lot of historical context and evidence to this topic.

Fascism: The Two Forms

Through my studies I have found Fascism to have two specific forms; the pinstripe corporate kind, and the spontaneous angry crowd.

The spontaneous angry crowd or angry person is often times a middle class, aka petite bourgeois, fascist. Someone affected by the changing material conditions who is losing his wealth and/or power, and out of his idolizing of the upper class, despite them being the reason for their business failing or income shrinking, and his fear of becoming a working class, aka proletariat, he has fallen into the worse form of discrimination to scape goat a different group for his struggles. Thus queue in the fascist radicalization. This can happen naturally by the person’s increasing radical spiral down this path or by introduction by someone already with fascist beliefs. Often times it is the latter. Regardless, the groups of these fascists are those who make up the majority of Fascist and Nazi organizations. Like those today being Patriot Front, Ayran Brotherhood, National Socialist Movement, and hundreds of others. These groups, even unorganized, are dangerous but they don’t have the finances like corporate Fascists do, which makes corporate Fascists more dangerous in terms of influence and financial capabilities to get more of their interests done. Corporate Fascists will use the spontaneous crowd, aka Fascist organizations, if it gets them closer to their goals.

Pinstripe Corporate Fascists are often times the wealthiest of a given society. A person or group who function within the political process long enough if it is functioning in a way that benefits them. Once the system begins to change or rival them, however, this is when their wealth is used to either direct the system back to the period when the system benefited them; if this is unsuccessful however, corporate Fascists use their wealth to fund measures that remove politicians, buy politicians, or worse, remove any democratic process entirely and shift the government into a rogue terrorist state who relies on violence to crush any opposition and maintain the political and economic dominance of the upper class.

In 2023 America, the working class is on a two front war: one side being the rapidly rising spontaneous Fascist groups. The other a quickly growing global corporate Fascist coalition of industrial, technological and financial capitalists working together to tighten control over the masses and the global geopolitical matters due to a weakening economy and unstable political turmoil. The near future does not look bright; Political and economic specialists have touched to this in one of many regards relating to the topic in one or more ways. Be this speculation of near future civil war due to political polarization. Be this from an income inequality unmatched from any other point in human history alongside the economic observations of recession in the near future. Be this from a weakening US Dollar as BRICS grows global support. Along with many other examples.

1933 to Now: How is Fascism Rising Today?

The modern capitalist class has shown a few key characteristics that should be mentioned to fully detail out the point of where 2023 America is heading.

JP Morgan

First let us refer back to JP Morgan, a financial institution who still operates today and whose recent history is just as dirty as it’s past. An example of this was June 2023, JP Morgan settled 290 million dollars to the survivors of sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein. Alongside this, but most relevant, was their funding of the Fascist regime of Ukraine. Ukraine being coup’ed by Nazi organizations and a Fascist militia in 2014 with the help of the US, EU and NATO. This coup was to stop the country from switching to Socialism as the Communist Party grew rapidly, mainly among the Donbass. While places like Kiev and it’s surrounding region was largely still against Socialism and Communism. This area of West Ukraine was also some of the first Ukrainians to accept Nazi German invaders during WWII; and, from then to 2014, had the most members of Ukrainian Nationalist organizations and such organizations became popular in Ukraine starting to take international notice in 2012. JP Morgan on their own website openly boasted it’s funding of Ukraine with the following excerpt:

“J.P. Morgan has helped the country raise around $25 billion in sovereign debt since 2010, and was the sole buyer of $350 million of Ukrainian bonds in March 2019. The bank also led the nation’s $20 billion debt restructuring in 2022.”

Ukraine

The situation in Ukraine is a strong central point to the realities we see in the shifting capitalist class. One of, but of course not the only element. Ukrainian Nationalists was a key interest to institutions and agencies like the CIA since as early as 1946. The CIA detailing in recently declassified documents, kept strong ties with Ukrainian Nationalists and their leader Stepan Bandera despite their beliefs and nature. The original aim was to use these organizations as counter-intelligence against the Soviet Union. With the fall of the Soviet Union and rise of Russian Capitalism continuing to be strongly anti-west however, the use of Ukrainian Nationalists changed to become a proxy hostile towards the Russian state, regardless it’s economic model, until Russia bends to the hegemonic dictatorial demands of the western world, particularly the US and NATO. Dialectically, this led to Russia to take to a more anti-imperialist position as it became encircled by NATO and US proxies, as such a position is the logical end result of continued imperialist aggression against a country.

Operation Paperclip, Ukraine & NATO

Ukrainian Nationalists and Nazi collaborators fled to Western Europe to hide with the help of the CIA. However the Ukrainian Fascists was not the only ones saved, many former Nazi Germans was saved during Operation Paperclip by the US out of “Cold War Necessity” and anti-communist interests. These former Nazi SS officers, generals, politicians and more would then later be repurposed for many new projects operated by the US. The Germans who was saved during Operation Paperclip would go on to found NASA & NATO. Many others was also used to become spies for the CIA and politicians/lawyers in West Germany to rival communist influence, thus why the Berlin Wall was referred to as the “Anti-Fascist Wall.”

Let’s list some important names;

Wernher von Braun was a member of the Nazi Party and SS, as well as a leading figure in rocket technology. This man would later found NASA for the US.

Walter Hallstein was a German academic regarded as one of the founding fathers of the European Union. After the war he became a leading civil servant for West Germany and is remembered for the Hallstein Doctrine which was West Germany’s policy of isolating East Germany diplomatically.

Adolf Heusinger was a Nazi military leader who would later become a general for West Germany as well as the chairman of the NATO military committee from 1961-64.

Hans Speidel was a Nazi general who later became a general for West Germany during the Cold War. He would be integrated into NATO and international negotiations on European and Western defense in the 1950’s. He also became commander of the Allied Land Forces Central Europe (COMLANDCENT) and president of the German Institute for International and Security Affairs.

Kurt Waldheim, a former Nazi intelligence officer during WWII was repurposed by the west to become Secretary-General of the United Nations from 1972 to 1986. After such position he then became president of Austria from 1986 to 1992.

Johannes Steinhoff was a German Luftwaffe pilot who later became a consultant on military aviation for West Germany. He would later become a full general for the air force and a German Military Representative to the NATO Military Committee in 1960, served as Acting Commander Allied Air Forces Central Europe in NATO 1965–1966, as Inspector of the Air Force 1966–1970 and as Chairman of the NATO Military Committee 1971–1974.

Johann von Kielmansegg was a German general staff officer for Nazi Germany, he would later become general of the Bundeswehr of Western Germany. The Bundeswehr is still active to this day in modern Germany and recently had €100 billion special fund pledged to it following concerns from the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine. Kielmansegg would, on the 5th of July, 1963, become lieutenant general of NATO's Supreme Command, of (COMLANDCENT) in France. He was later promoted to Commander-in-Chief of NATO's forces in Central Europe in 1967.

Ernest Ferber was a German military general who took part in the advance on the Belarusian Soviet Republic as part of the Russian campaign called “Operation Barbarossa.” After WWII Ferber was made a general in command of NATO for (COMLANDCENT).

Karl-Heinz Schnell was a German Luftwaffe pilot who took part in the invasion of the Soviet Union in Operation Barbarossa. Schnell would become NATO’s Commander in chief of (COMLANDCENT) from 1975 to 77.

These are only a few names of the thousands of former Nazi Germans saved for repurpose by the west. Why does this matter? As if the answer isn’t obvious why using old Fascists for your own goals will lead to some horrible results later on, let me direct back to the title of this piece. Clearly, these political and military influencers will inevitably lead to a world where those who used them are going to adopt some of their beliefs into the governing structure that persists over the western hegemony.

The Role of Modern Corporations

The difference between 1933 to today, is JP Morgan, Ford, GM, Hugo Boss and others are no longer the only corporations that are moving towards Fascism or who helped fascist regimes like Nazi Germany; it is now every institution current that is moving towards Fascism, especially financial institutions.

Let’s return back to the “Wall Street Putsch” that we touched on, because this is relevant. Let’s touch on some very important information that needs to be addressed when this coup attempt failed. First and foremost despite the congressional committee investigating the matter prosecuted none of those involved the committee said and I quote:

"there is no question that these attempts were discussed, were planned, and might have been placed in execution when and if the financial backers deemed it expedient."

If the committee didn’t prosecute anyone involved of a coup attempt against the US government that means the level of power over government officials by financial institutions was already strong enough to sway political consequences. That means any sway that exists todays is dominated throughout the entire structure of the US government, it’s agencies, it’s institutions and think tanks.

Did you notice the end of that quote? “when and if the financial backers deemed it expedient." That is a clue for what is further important to this piece; the financial backing of Fascist revolts. Georgi Dimitrov detailed the class character and creation of Fascism in his literature. Regarding it in his book “The Fascist Offensive and the Tasks of the Communist International in the Struggle of the Working Class against Fascism” as follows:

”Fascism is the power of finance capital itself. It is the organization of terrorist vengeance against the working class and the revolutionary section of the peasantry and intelligentsia. In foreign policy, fascism is jingoism in its most brutal form, fomenting bestial hatred of other nations.”

“This, the true character of fascism, must be particularly stressed because in a number of countries, under cover of social demagogy, fascism has managed to gain the following of the mass of the petty bourgeoisie that has been dislocated by the crisis, and even of certain sections of the most backward strata of the proletariat. These would never have supported fascism if they had understood its real character and its true nature.”

“The development of fascism, and the fascist dictatorship itself, assume different forms in different countries, according to historical, social and economic conditions and to the national peculiarities, and the international position of the given country. In certain countries, principally those in which fascism has no broad mass basis and in which the struggle of the various groups within the camp of the fascist bourgeoisie itself is rather acute, fascism does not immediately venture to abolish parliament, but allows the other bourgeois parties, as well as the Social-Democratic Parties, to retain a modicum of legality. In other countries, where the ruling bourgeoisie fears an early outbreak of revolution, fascism establishes its unrestricted political monopoly, either immediately or by intensifying its reign of terror against and persecution of all rival parties and groups. This does not prevent fascism, when its position becomes particularly acute, from trying to extend its basis and, without altering its class nature, trying to combine open terrorist dictatorship with a crude sham of parliamentarism.”

Dimitrov explains it very clearly, that not only can Fascism vary by different forms based on conditions and nations, but it persists within the framework of the democratic government until it’s time to tighten power becomes a necessity; and that the main participants to bring about Fascism are the financial institutions using the petite bourgeois that they misguided as their attack dogs. Are you seeing the picture now?

Dimitrov further expresses that Fascism doesn’t simply come about at random, but rather comes after the upper class of the capitalist structure has deemed it necessary to wage war against the old bourgeois parties. This takes place often times during crisis after, as Dimitrov explains:

”before the establishment of a fascist dictatorship, bourgeois governments usually pass through a number of preliminary stages and adopt a number of reactionary measures which directly facilitate the accession to power of fascism. Whoever does not fight the reactionary measures of the bourgeoisie and the growth of fascism at these preparatory stages is not in a position to prevent the victory of fascism, but, on the contrary, facilitates that victory.”

Thus makes it clear that not only is the US and arguably sections of Europe are past many of these preparatory stages that passed many reactionary measures, but that the US and parts of Europe are as close today to Fascism as it was before the rise of McCarthyism that outlawed the Communist Party and set out lynch mobs against Socialists of all types; because the first thing Fascism will do once it tightens it’s grip, is remove the Socialists and Communists as they are their primary enemy.

So since Fascism is largely created out of the dictation and funding of financial capital, what does that tie back to today in 2023? The World Economic Forum.

World Economic Forum (WEF)

The WEF operates out of Cologny, Switzerland. Switzerland being regarded as “the banking capital of the world.” Klaus Schwab, the head of the WEF has promoted some dark realities for the world by 2030. Such as everyone will “own nothing and be happy” and “what you want you will rent.” Such disturbing and dystopian positions come off as a very fascistic position, and the answer behind it goes into Schwab’s family tree. The father of Klaus Schwab, which this information is largely suppressed more than most, was a member of Nazi organizations in Nazi Germany. Even the corporate news site NewsWeek, in an attempt to sanitize this information, touched on this:

“Klaus Schwab’s father, on the other hand, was the managing director of a subsidiary of Zurich-based engineering firm Escher Wyss. The history of Eugen’s relationship with Nazism in general is complex… Eugen Schwab was a member of some National Socialist organizations, but that alone does not prove any relationship to German high command or a belief in Nazi ideology. While the Escher Wyss branch in Ravensburg, Germany, (which Eugen managed) used prisoners of war and forced laborers, it is not clear whether the company was forced to do so by the Nazis or because of a lack of workers.”

Yes, I am sure the Nazis who was known for concentration camps and it’s forced labor played no part in Eugen’s use of forced labor. Plus, who simply joins a Nazi organization if they don’t believe in the positions of the organization? It isn’t like Schwab’s family could not leave prior to the rule of Hitler, they was a wealthy family. No, this was a conscious decision which would later result in Eugen being acquitted for his role because there was no “strong evidence of his Nazi beliefs” as if we did not just address Operation Paperclip.

The WEF today have partners across the globe which is mostly funded by its 1,000 member companies. Davos, Switzerland is one of many locations across the globe the WEF meet at that draws an additional 3,000 paying members and selected participants – among whom are investors, business leaders, political leaders, economists, celebrities and journalists. The WEF influences every section of the ruling class today from financial to political to propaganda.

The financial institutions are already beginning the tightening of power with the recent introduction of the Federal Reserve’s FedNow which controls and accepts/refuses all purchases made by credit or debit card. This is a method of controlling purchase power which can be used to control people’s ability to rebel. Couple this with economist discussion of a Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) and the future becomes more clear. Despite the Federal Reserve saying that FedNow has no relation to CBDC, the fact CBDC is being discussed as a method of purchase in the US should concern people because it means complete government control of all purchase capabilities. A dream they have been having for a while ever since the over reliance on cards. That along with reverse cash ATM’s starting in major US cities where you input cash but can’t take any out shows predictions to a digital currency to replace the US dollar. This began more as the US moved further into tech and the US Dollar began to lose it’s power. The system sees it’s economic weakness in the future tied to the US Dollar and is moving to a complete digital control method to fix the problem.

“Green Capitalism” or Eco-Fascism?

Considering FedNow and CBDC’s, it is not only the financial sector that is tightening control, it is also the “green policies” of corporations and government that is tightening control. Shifting the blame of climate change onto the masses despite 71% of global emissions coming from a 100 companies; not to mention one of the largest global polluters is the US Military. Emitting more CO2 than all of Europe, causing ridiculous levels of land pollution and water pollution, not to mention destruction from American “Interventions.” Remember, not only does the US military get hundreds of billions of dollars, it also has over 700 bases globally.

Regardless, this “Green Capitalism” has pushed capitalists to shift blame and make the masses’ lives harder. Such as Biden’s new proposal to push electric cars on the American masses who can barely afford regular cars. Most concerning, however, has been a trend that is happening more and more among capitalists where the discussion of “overpopulation” and “reducing the population” is taking place. People like Bill Gates said this multiple times regarding population control and that increasing population makes things harder. Along with him is Kamala Harris, who said reducing the population could help end climate change, to which of course the White House tried to claim was a mistake for the word “pollution.” This was no mistake, this was a Freudian Slip, just like Bush when he said “decision of one man to launch a wholly unjustified and brutal invasion of Iraq..I mean of Ukraine,” Or Obama when he mentioned Predator Drones at a formal event.

Not to mention the discussions of reducing populations are not new to the capitalist class. The 1960’s seen campaigns for eugenics and calls to reduce population. These beliefs will not simply disappear from the ruling class who pass on their ideals and methods from generation to generation. That is not how the lifestyles of the wealthy operate. They change for the times for profit motives, not deeply held beliefs. Some comrades among the left are beginning to see, due to this trend, a connection often overlooked. Which is the epidemic of infertility linked to microplastics. The microplastics being part of our plastics dependency. Arguably because it is cheaper for the capitalists but also most likely to reduce population as plastics are used in food packaging, drink containers, makeup, etc. and will inevitably find it’s way into the human body, which it has. This epidemic has gotten out of control to the point that by 2045 global fertility will reach near zero. I would love to argue plastics isn’t the connection, but there is nothing else that can explain this global phenomenon and with articles saying microplastics have been found in the average person’s blood stream, it leave very little to argue that it isn’t the link.

This is why health enthusiasts argue to stick to metal, wood and ceramic like the old days, and if you watch the living conditions of the rich, you’ll notice they do the same as well.

So, it can be argued that not only is the wealthy moving towards Fascism, it is moving towards Eco-Fascism especially, which of course only applies to the working class. You are the “carbon” they wish to reduce. Environmentalism through Genocide, upholding the “overpopulation” myth.

Conclusion

From the 1933 coup attempt to now: Given the forms of Fascism that exist, the former Nazis who created and influenced modern western powers, the financial role of Fascism, the WEF’s positions, their influence, and Schwab’s family history; it is clear that not only is the west, who operates as a coalition of imperialist powers, complicit in the growth of the Fascist movement, but will give into the first attempt by it to take over when the crisis globally and financially becomes too much to bear.

With a economic crisis setting in, the weakening of the US Empire and it’s imperialist capabilities, the rise of BRICS and fall of the US Dollar, the political polarization of the US masses and growth of the fascist petite bourgeoisie, speculation by political scientists of potential civil war, inflation and a widening income inequality; It is clear that the future of the US will inevitably lead towards Fascism if not fought.

The role of the communist today, the socialist today, or the pro-democratic forces, anyone who holds to the label in any seriousness, must organize the masses today as if their lives depended on it; because it does. The future of Fascism is potentially in your lifetime. We must not only organize the workers anywhere they are, be this at work or at the ballots, but we must rally them to oppose every measure towards fascism. From the policies traitors in power push to the influence pushed by corporate media. We must use all tools at our finger tips. Physical and digital. We must undermine the wave of fascism on every front and use all means to push influence against the corporate media. We must undermine the violent fascist petite bourgeoisie by destroying the organizations they have founded and use to sway more to their side.

Fascism can NOT be allowed to succeed, because if it does, it will slaughter this world like it tried to do when Nazi Germany aimed to ethnically cleanse 70% of Russia and enslave the rest. Which was the first step before it moved further throughout Asia and Africa.

You now know the realities of what we face, you have a duty to yourself, your loved ones, and your future generations to root this evil out for the sake of humanity.
