Voting Kamala Harris Isn't Going to Save You
The two parties aren't on your side, neither is any one working within them.
Anyone following me long enough knows I am completely against reformism as any solution to solving our current problems because our problems are inherent to the very system itself. While elections have their use cases for Communists, it isn’t to find solutions to issues that are caused by the very system that allows the fraudulent “democratic” system itself.
Rather you like it or not, politics is a business, and no one in organized politics today is going to allow it to not be a business. There is no bigger community that brings in the largest means of concentrated power, unifies the richest and most privileged people of a society, and creates policies and institutions that can institute changes to said society except organized, establishment politics.
“If voting changed anything, they'd make it illegal”
-Emma Goldman
If you are going to tell me the two parties that is funded by the following companies, lobbyists and hedge funds have your interests as a worker who’s values don’t remotely align with the wealthy who fund these politically entities; you are delusional and lying to yourself.
Corporations - AT&T, Microsoft, Apple, American Airlines, Cigna, UPS, Lockheed Martin, GM, Ford, Boeing, Northrop Grumman, Pfizer, Johnson & Johnson, Comcast, Walmart, Home Depot, GE, JetBlue, Southern Company, ExxonMobile, Chevron, PepsiCo, Coca-Cola, P&G, IBM, Oracle, Intel, Verizon, Wells Fargo
Lobby Groups - National Association of Realtors, AMA, NBWA, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, AHA, NAHB, American Bankers Association, NAB, NRECA, AIPAC, ADA, NAM, AFT, NEA, AFBF, NFIB, American Council of Life Insurance, NRF, API, National Restaurant Association
Hedge Funds - Goldman Sachs, BlackRock, Soros Fund Management, Renaissance Technologies, Citadel, Paloma Partners, Elliot Management, Baupost Group, Two Sigma Investments, D.E. Shaw & Co, Appaloosa Management, Blackstone Group, KKR & Co, Carlyle Group, Millennium Management, Point72 Asset Management, Third Point LLC, Bridgewater Associates, Pershing Square Capital Management, Farallon Capital Management, Tiger Global Management, Vanguard, State Street
““The central point that emerges from our research is that economic elites and organized groups representing business interests have substantial independent impacts on U.S. government policy, while mass-based interest groups and average citizens have little or no independent influence,” the scholars conclude, providing “substantial support” for the theories of economic-elite domination and biased pluralism.”
-The influence of elites, interest groups and average voters on American politics
I don’t know what else you need except this to show you that the idea of reformism is a delusional desperation to fix what clearly was never broken, just never made to serve you. How are you not getting it? That from it’s inception, capitalist society was organized for the rich to keep the workers struggling under the exploitation. It would never make any sense to try and give you a seat at the table because your interests of survival and better living conditions get in the way of the unrestrained greed that the capitalists have in mind.
“The fight between these two parties has been mainly over the height of customs duties. Their fight has not had any serious importance for the mass of the people. The people have been deceived and diverted from their vital interests by means of spectacular and meaningless duels between the two bourgeois parties. This so-called bipartisan system prevailing in America and Britain has been one of the most powerful means of preventing the rise of an independent working-class, i.e., genuinely socialist, party.”
-THE RESULTS AND SIGNIFICANCE OF THE U.S. PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS, p. 406, Vol. 18, Lenin
“You don’t understand, if we don’t vote Kamala, fascism will come to America!”
“The concept of the “lesser evil,” most relativizing, can be conceived as this kind of apologia. There is always a lesser evil than the previous lesser evil, a greater danger in comparison to the previous greater danger. Each greater evil becomes lesser in comparison with an even greater one, and so on indefinitely.
This turns out to be nothing more than the form taken by the process of adaptation to a regressive movement, such that while reaction proceeds efficiently, the antithetical force is determined to capitulate progressively, in small stages, and not all at once. If it were otherwise, the condensed psychological effect might give rise to an active competing force, or to a reinforcement of it if such a force already existed.”
-The Movement and the Goal, Gramsci (1932)
I watched the Patriot Act pass, the mass warrentless surveillance of the NSA, the coups of Libya and Ukraine orchestrated by our government, the use of white phosphorus in Iraq, Afghanistan, Gaza, and Syria, a whistleblower expose the US government for being involved in sex trafficking, we also protected many current day corporations that was involved in aiding Nazi Germany, we put Nazis in charge in Western Germany and in NATO, our current president in aiding and perpetuating a genocide in Gaza, and way too much more to cover. You will NEVER solve the issues by voting for those who create them or protect that which creates them. Voting won’t stop fascism, fascism is being pushed by the same wealthy entities funding both parties; unless you fear to see what companies we protected after WWII, and fear seeing who was involved in the last fascist coup attempt in 1933.
I didn’t even touch on the fact that Kamala’s not only a cop with a horrible record of keeping people locked up longer, her recent absolute devotion to the Zionist entity both in words and in receiving large sums of donations by AIPAC shows she’s horrible. Not to mention her recent display in saying “I’m speaking” as a Palestinian protester tried to expose her loyalty to the Zionist movement shows clearly she doesn’t care for Gaza, while her cult fans cheered in the background like the heartless and self-entitled lunatics they are.
Every new president has been worse than the last regardless their party; the two-parties are not opposite to each other, they are an illusion of difference and your active loyalty to back one or the other is accelerating the political deterioration of the country into fascism. As the country begins to buckle economically, the idea of a fascist coup orchestrated by the wealthiest, who historically always lead them, begins to show on the horizon; but neither do we have a say in the economics of the country, nor do we the politics even if we pick from the selected who was favored by the wealthy to begin with. The elections won’t save you, America has been gradually becoming more fascist since the end of WWII with reactionary policy after reactionary policy against both the national masses and international masses.
Additionally, and I can’t stress this enough, by your desperate attempt to protect yourself at the cost of the third world means you sacrifice your global allies who you have more in common with, and inevitably for nothing, as the brutality the US pushes on others will come home to roost and you will suffer from it next. Study your history, and you’ll find I am right.
What do you have in common with an imperialist whose too focused on blowing up random nations into submission to rob them of resources for his company and rich buddies?
What do you have in common with a billionaire CEO who has two mansions or more and butlers to get him dressed every morning after they shower him?
What do you have in common with a wealthy politician in Congress whose contemplating about the next policy that will restrict personal liberties and increase their security?
What do you have in common with any of these parasitic beings other than a hopeless belief that you’ll be like them one day or that they care for you when all the data shows you matter the least to them?
The only solution is organized revolution, regardless if you are ready to hear that or not, regardless if you believe otherwise.
If you are dead-set on voting, which I wouldn’t discourage it outright, at least vote for people who matter, not these establishment fascists. Vote for socialist organizations, vote for progressive policies. Vote for Jill Stein, a Green Socialist, who has a significantly better chance at winning or for Claudia De La Cruz if you want a more explicitly socialist candidate. Regardless, as I said earlier; this won’t bring a solution to our systemic problems, this is simply a means to ease the pain of the workers and bring class politics to the masses so they focus on their economic interests instead of identity politics or culture wars.
The current structure was never organized for you, it’s time to create a new one built with a united network of all progressive forces that subvert the current structure and replace it’s functions. This is the beginning of worker revolution, of socialist revolution. Not only is it necessary, it is inevitable so long as those with heart build it and ignore the crying of the lazy cowards who capitulate to the system of the enemy.
